Invite Your Friends

The Ultimate Guide to Inviting Your Friends

Help spread the word about our Beacon of Hope Virtual Fundraiser. The people you invite can help change the lives of young people and families across underserved communities.

Choose your role

Ambassadors and influencers are essential to a successful event. Each ambassador invites about ten guests to attend the event. Influencers share our event posts, and make their own posts on social media, LinkedIn, and within their circles of influence to help promote our event, but they are not committing to inviting a specific number of people. One of the many benefits to having a virtual event is we have unlimited space, so invite away!

Get Started

To help you get started, we’ve included some options below.

BannerHost a watch party

Hosting friends, family, and colleagues for a watch party and broadcasting of our virtual fundraiser will encourage group engagement and help your invitees understand the true impact of their giving.

FAQs

What if a friend or family can’t make it?

We highly encourage guests to attend the live event, but we understand that sometimes things happen. No worries! We’ll link the virtual fundraiser video on our event page for easy viewing following the live event.

Am I asking for money from my friends or family?

No. YOU are not asking for donations. You should make guests aware that the purposes of this event are to educate individuals about Second Story and to raise funds needed to continue our programming. As part of the virtual fundraiser, Second Story will explain the need and invite viewers to make a donation. *A donation is not required to attend.

How can I get additional information?

If you need additional marketing materials, have questions, or want to chat about the ways you can get involved, contact our Community Outreach Liaison Alex Villegas.
