Any individual or business in Virginia may seek to take advantage of the Neighborhood Assistance Program and receive tax credit for their donations.
We receive a certain amount of NAP credit to distribute to our donors every year.
The minimum donation value must be at least $500, but no more than $125,000 in a taxable year for an individual or $616 for a trust. You must give the donation directly through Second Story; donations made through a third party platform (like United Way or another nonprofit) are not eligible.
If you are interested in receiving NAP credit, please contact our Vice President of Development to ensure that we have NAP credit available for your donation. The credit is worth up to 65% of your donation amount.
For NAP documents and forms, visit Virginia Department of Social Services Website. You can find us listed in the approved organizations under “Abused and Homeless Children’s Refuge – Second Story.”
