“Debbi” was kicked out of her home by her father after years of demeaning comments and emotional abuse. With Second Story for Homeless Youth she found a safe place to stay, warm meals, and support.
Tim’s Second Story
“Tim” had unstable housing his whole life, compounded by mental health issues. Through Second Story for Homeless Youth he now has a home and a bike to get to work and school.
Aaron’s Second Story
He was skipping meals, lacked space or privacy, and couldn’t pay his tuition. Then “Aaron” found Second Story for Homeless Youth, and now he has stable housing and is finishing his associates degree.
Cassie’s Second Story
Second Story for Homeless youth staff believed that there was more to “Cassie’s” situation than met the eye, and that what she was experiencing was a result of an undiagnosed medical condition.
Ian’s Second Story
With no place to sleep but a walk-in closet and little food to go around, “Ian” was pointed towards Second Story for Homeless Youth, where he found counseling and then a new home.
Jonesha’s Second Story
Jonesha had an unstable and abuse-filled childhood and ongoing depression when she found herself dropping out of college and living out of her car. Second Story for Homeless Youth gave her stability, counseling, and hope.
