Second Story for Young Mothers is a long-term residential program for pregnant and parenting young adults (ages 16-24) . We are looking for an individual to work full-time (40 hours per week) as the Program Manager performing supervision, administrative duties, plus case and house management. This individual should have at least three years of experience within the field of social services, preferably including program management experience. Ideal candidates will be organized, adaptable, compassionate, and culturally competent with strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties, such as approving timesheets and creating monthly statistical reports
- Provide case management duties, such as reviewing files to ensure compliance with licensing standards
- Supervise the program’s case manager, as well as up to three program interns
- Attend weekly staff meetings, including case review and individual/group supervision
- Ensure client houses remain clean, organized, and well-maintained with adequate supplies
- Liaise with property landlords
- Recruit and interview new clients for the program
- Transport clients and assist with running errands as needed
- Coordinate volunteer tasks
- Assist with donation pick-ups, distribution, and removal
- Act as an organizational on-call supervisor on a rotating basis
Schedule:
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Initially, the Program Manager is expected to work in-person eight hours per day, Monday through Friday. In the future, there is flexibility for one day per week to be remote and/or an alternative work week schedule (e.g. four 10-hour days).
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- Master’s degree in social work
- At least three years working in social services
- Ability to pass both criminal and child abuse/neglect background investigations
- Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability for obtaining auto insurance
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED:
- Prior experience with managing/supervising staff
- Spanish language fluency
- Familiarity with parenting skills and infant care
Salary:
The starting salary for this role is $60,000 with higher compensation available commensurate with additional education and/or experience.
