Second Story for Teens in Crisis is hiring a part-time Overnight Residential Counselor to work at our adolescent group home in Vienna, VA. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and capable of working independently with strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring residents to ensure their safety throughout the night
  • Maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy living environment
  • Answering crisis hotline calls
  • Providing case management, such as case notes
  • Conducting emergency intakes and discharges as needed


Schedule:

Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays from 11pm-9am.

Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED: Must have a bachelor’s degree (preferably in psychology, social work, human services, counseling, or a related field)/li>
  • REQUIRED: Must be willing to undergo a background investigation prior to employment and become certified in CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration
  • PREFERRED: Ability to speak Spanish
  • PREFERRED: Prior experience in the mental health field, especially with teens

Salary: $20.00/hr
